Who E Spends her Day With

Elizabeth,
While Dad and I are working, you spend your day with some special people.

Das is our driver. He helps buckle you in your seat but also gets you out of it! He's a good driver and deals with the traffic so Dad and I don't have to!

Alum is our cook. He loves to see you in the morning and makes sure that you always have bananas.
Milon is your ayah. She loves you so much and takes such good care of you. You love her and always make sure to give her a hug every morning!

Birthday BBQ!

Elizabeth,
You are turning one soon!! Dad and I wanted to celebrate your big day with our friends so we threw you a Birthday BBQ! We had so much fun decorating the house and making your cakes. Dad and I can't believe we have a 1 year old! This year E cakes...who knows what we'll make for you next year!

Dad and Adam jammed in your honor!

There were also presents! It didn't take you long to figure out your new piggy bank!

We made a big E and a lowercase e! They turned out great!

Last Visit to Dad's 3rd Grade Classroom

E ... mom deserted us today to go on a field trip to an ICE CREAM FACTORY. I know! I asked if we could go but got denied. You got to spend extra time in my room and I think you trely enjoyed it. Watch out for that scorpion! No worries baby boo, it's just the desert ecosystems mural the kids made. You also explored pattern blocks, toy cars, and everything you could get your hands on. We ate some chicken nuggets and you sat on the plate of mustard, trailing it all over the room.
Little mustard on the face!

You and the saguaro cactus, a bactrian camel (of the Gobi Desert), and a bobcat.

See anything strange in this picture? You joined the class during their recess to do extra research for their ecosystems project. You just banged on the keys of the laptop.

Bahar was a bit upset when you drooled on her pens ... even though she has a baby brother and should be used to it.

A Day at the Radison

This weekend you had a day of sun and fun at the Radisson pool with friends. Unfortualtly, I (Dad) was not present to join in the frivolities had by all but I heard from good sources that you were extremely entertaining. I was playing guitar with Adam, which we hadn't done for months, but I did however take you to the Australian Club early in the morning and get a chance to throw you in the pool there. So LOTS of pool fun this weekend. The Radisson allows you to use their pool area for 1500 taka (20 USD) and it's a nice escape from the craziness outside. Can't wait for summer!!!!

Hands up if you are having fun!

Uncky Junky took good care of you and made sure you did your laps!

Thanks to Beckley Mason for these photos!!

Passport and Visa Photos

In getting ready to visit Vietnam for the summer, Elizabeth needed some new photos. Which one do you like best? Smile to the left? Smirk to the right? or the dead serious 'fine take your picture' look? Leave your votes in comments. Votes will be tallied and taken into consideration.

Growing Up

Elizabeth had her toenails painted by Milon this week. They matched Mom's. I can't believe how quick she's growing up. Still get a little miffed when the ayah prementively does things without asking. Oh well ... some on these things we'd never think of. I just hope we don't come home from school and she's wearing make-up and has her ears pierced. Maybe we should talk to Milon.
