EBB
Elizabeth,
Mom still has not figured out that putting a bib on you BEFORE feeding saves a lot of dribbles and wet outfits. Daddy always remembers to ... always. I'm really happy you picked out this for yourself and even though it's a little large it just means that you'll be able to wear it that much longer.
Ohhh ... EBB = Extra Big Bib

Tracy and Ian
E ... last night you met Tracy and Ian and these frames speak from themselves ...
and here's a good one of you and Tracy ... they just moved into a new apartment and are still getting settled. We ate fish and assorted cheese (pesto cheese) and angel food cake for dessert.

Leaving on a Jet Plane
Dear Elizabeth,
Hope you don't mind that we took you on a 30 hour trip (18 or so in plane) to your new home in Bangladesh. Yes ,I ask myself that almost daily. Anyways .. you didn't care for the plane ride for the first 6 hours but after that you settled in and even rode in the bassinet and let daddy and mommy play with the on-demand entertainment system. Even though you cried for the beginning of the trip and a few other random moments during the plane ride, you were overshadowed by a large middle eastern family that let their kids run rampant and screaming during most of the flight. Mom and I decided that you would never do that and that we teach you proper plane etiquette ... Kudos E!

Lance Wisdom!
EMM,
I know we smile and laugh at you when you are upset at less then comfortable environmental situations but then Lance told me that this IS the greatest age. He proposes that we laugh because at this stage in your life that's as mad as you can get period (tiny screams, failing arms with no gross or fine motor skills at all, little tear filled eyes, crying so hard you run out of air) ... it's the only way you can communicate. So please don't be mad when your tantrums make us laugh at you .. we know it's either diaper, food, gas, or a need to be walked. I'm just trying to enjoy you until your gYou'll be able to throw much more effective tantrums soon enough ....

4 hour trip!
Elizabeth,
Today we went out for lunch at Goodson's (Dad can not handle the large chicken fried steak anymore and groaned the rest of the day) and then decided to go to Costco (to buy bulk stuff of course). You had had enough. The nice thing is you always wait until the last 3-5 miles of the trip to really let us know you are PO'ed at the situation. So we just enjoyed your tantrum and laughed those last few minutes till home. Oh and I took a photo with my new iPaq so I could blog about it. Ahhhhh!!!! sooo cute!.

12 hours on the road
Today we took Elizabeth to our financial planning meeting, shopping in the Galleria area, Carrie's doctor's appointment (she's now 8.15 pounds) and then to see Kirk and Bonita (No Isabella ... she was going to Oklahoma to visit grandma). We even took her by our old apartment and checked out the growth (in the area). In all it was a 12 hour day and Elizabeth fared well.

Railroad Museum
Elizabeth,
Before we left Galveston Island, we took you to the Strand, ate at Yaga's, and then went to the Galveston Railroad Museum and .... well we posed you with the creepy plaster statues. We also ate some pretty tasty ice cream (mom likes coffee and mint chocolate/dad prefers chocolate) ... we'll have to go back to visit the Ellisa.

Happy 4th
Happy Independence Day E! As you can see you already love fireworks and helped in the massive display your dad created ... even though you napped and fed through most of it. I can't wait till you can hold a lighter or strike matches ....

1st Beach
There's the beach house in the back left we stayed at. The stroller is fairly lightweight as you can see there is no straining as I carried you over the high grass. You really enjoyed the ocean air and some of the wind. going down the beach was nice but the wind kicked into high and we had to abort. Notice the blanket covering your face. Sandy wheels cleaned themselves with a quick trip through the grass.
