TUTU

Who was the first to give you a tutu handmade from the finest pompoms in the world? That would be Aunt Janet and you just love it!! As you can see it goes with whatever you are wearing. You are still working on your twirls and jumps and pirouettes (had to look the spelling up).

Outting to the Park

The weather in Rochester was beautiful...perfect park weather. Cousin Meghan and I took you to the park and animal farm. At the park, you had a great time on the swings, slides, and playing in the sand.

You loved the horses, Emu, ducks, and the big cows! The sheep, on the other hand, was not a favorite. We had to leave the barn because you were not excited at all to be around them. When you are older and have a strange fear of sheep, we'll know it all started with the scary sheep at the animal farm.

The Best Thing About Helping Grandma Bake is...

...Licking the bowl!!

Lucky you! This was you first time with the cake batter bowl and you loved it. We made sure to put the full coverage bib on and mom grabbed the camera!

Grandma's finger works really well!

It was a little hard to figure out the beaters

The spatula was great!

Recap: Rochester 2009

What a couple of weeks you've had E! This is the third summer in the new house and your second to visit the Farthing grandparents in Rochester, NY. This time you could walk and explore the huge natural yard with the paths, flowers, trees, wildlife (deer, squirrels, birds, chipmunks), with all the toys you could possibly play with, and an exciting basement to spelunk.

Then and Now

After a walk we decided to see if you would sit in the same location in the garden as you did when we brought you home from the hospital. Even though you were happy to sit and play with the mulch, it took mom and I lots of snapping and yelling to get you to look up at us. So her you are at 3 days and 13 months.

Visting Aunt Dori and Uncle Justin in Geneseo

*QUICK SIDE NOTE: Blogger is cutting off part of the wide screen video from Youtube ... if you are a purist and want to see the complete video then right click on the video and "Watch on Youtube"

Mom and Aunt Dori went to get their hair done which meant Dad got to drive to Geneseo with you. You did not get me too lost but I did ask you to watch for the 390 signs. Anywho .. You finally got to meet their dog Asher (who was really good with you) and some of Dori's friends (all with babies under two). You also met Justin's friend Matt and son Carson who taught you a game called Gula-Gula, which means wolverine in German. Dori is due with your 1st cousin in August and you'll be able to meet him (a boy!) during our first Christmas home in 7 years of being overseas. YEAH!

13 Month DR's Visit

Today you went to the DR for your 13th month check-up. You got to stand on the "big kids" scale to be weighed (21.1 lbs!) and impressed the DR and nurses with your walking and babbling abilities. The size of your head is no longer a concern and you are a little sprout at 25 inches tall! DR. O'Brien said you "are thriving"! You were brave and handled the one shot you got. We took you to Outback Steakhouse to celebrate your 13th month birthday! Happy 13th month birthday Baby Boo. Ohh and no more toys for you ... it's overload at both the grandparents already!

July 4th

This July 4th was quiet and relaxing. Although there were no bottle rockets and no roman candles, no wizzle-bangs and no star spangled dipsty-poppers, and no sparklers, .... not even a single snake I guess we had to take a break after last year. Still you did wear patriotic colors and stay up a bit late.
