Aunt Pat makes beautiful dresses. She gave you this one when you were born and your dad and I couldn't imagine you'd ever be big enough to wear it! Now, it fits you perfectly! You love the big green bows!

Big Girl Bath

You've outgrown your baby bathtub and now take your baths in the BIG tub! You love it! We've got bath toys on our list of things to buy for you this summer!

Oh...and Dad can't wait until you have a little more hair...then he can really spike it up!!

Hangin' on the Couch

One of your favorite places to be in on the couch. There is always a lot to look at through the window. You don't sit still often these days, so we have to keep our eyes on you. You are an expert at creeping along the back of the couch. Dad has already saved you from a tumble onto the floor!

Sleeping

You used to only be a tummy sleeper. But it seems that when you learned to pull yourself up, you also learned to move around in your sleep. You have lots of cute little positions you get into through out the night. Our favorite though is bum in air followed by sprawled out on back.

ZAP!

Friday was an uncommonly dry day here in Dhaka. I zapped Dad a few times after getting out of the van. We were heading to Charlotte's birthday party and Dad was making you smile and laugh...until he touched you on your nose. ZAP!!! It took a second to register but the smile faded as you experienced the wonder that is static electricity. You really didn't like getting shocked at all! Can't wait to get the Vandagraph generator out!

time to lower the crib

You've picked up a new skill...pulling yourself up. Time to lower the playpen and crib again! Dad left you for one minute (on your back) and when he came back you were enjoying the view from your feet! You're such a big girl!

9 months!

Elizabeth .. add humorless piercing glare to your many new facial expressions .. here Milon (your nanny) thought it was funny to snap a picture of you looking like a nun when apparently it wasn't .. at least that's what we are reading into it. You'll have to tell us what was really going on when you can talk more.

New Sounds

You've figured out a new sound! It's fun to "trumpet" with Dad!

Stylin'

You can pull any look off. Even the combination of your new Easter hat (thank-you to Maya, one of Matt's 3rd grade students), colorful onesie (thank-you to Jean, one of Grandma F's friends), and striped rattle booties (thank- you Aunt Karen and cousin Meghan) look fabulous on you. We're never sure what Milon will dress you in, but you always look so cute!
