ARA and the Track Meet
Last weekend there was a big track meet at the school. You came to help Dad out while he measured the javelin throws. The morning turned into a beautiful day so we decided to go to the club (the American Club) for breakfast.
The club has 2 playgrounds....you have discovered the small playground and no longer are content to sit with us at the table while we wait for food. You love the swings and slides but also love the sand and watching other kids. This afternoon your friend Bela was there with her brother and mom, who you played with on the bouncy teeter-totter.

Worch
E ... you learned to open the caps on many of the bottled sauces today and poured Worcestershire sauce (several spellings? so I went with wikipedia) all over yourself ... personally I wanted to let you baste for a while but mom thought better of it. Do they make child safety locks for condiments?
Cheese and Shoes
Everything is either "cheese" or "shoes" these days, although there are different intonations and pitches to the wooorrddsssss. Shoes are definitely shoes, but so are pants, shirts, some of her toys and other nameless objects. Carrie just tested this by asking for shoes and she went into the other room and brought out her shoes. Even the same kind. Although when asked to get daddy's shoes she brought me a set of high heels ... and then attempted to put then on my feet ... good girl. BUT there is lots of language rolling around in the head up there just waiting to burst out in spoken word.

New Talents
We have been a bit behind on telling the tales of E but it's been a bit busy since the holidays ( trust me the holidays are coming to faithfully patient). Still there is sooo much to tell. Like today we found out E can open the door by herself (unlocked latch) and was halfway down the stairs before we noticed (mind-numbingly scary in all reality). We were just cooking dinner and she was gone for a minute (which usually means nothing). We lock the door now. We have a couple more months to think of our next move. Any strategies?
Green-thumb-in-training
The weather is beautiful and we love spending time up on the roof. Elizabeth gets to help Alum take care of the roof top plants. Get ready Grandma and Grandpa for some help this summer!
