Back in Houston
Bleary-eyed and exhausted from waking up at 3:00am on our LA layover (nice walk around the airport area and a couple In and Out Burger burgers) we boarded the last plane ride
After the 17 hours of flying we finally arrive in Houston to visit Grandma SuSu and Grandpa Jon
You were instantly surrounded by strange faces but you learned very quickly that these people were her to serve you as well.
Soon enough you got your smile on and presents and a few new toys.

Vietnam Part 3
Sand ... good to play in but you found out not so good to eat.
The vendors were not that bad and actually pleasant. Having the baby was a magnet for them.
Private beach area ... naked baby!
Sleeping still very important
Not ready for sunglasses quite yet
dad and E on the Japanese bridge with some dude
ride the strange yellow bouncy animal
Curious kids!
She helped to fan you!
After perhaps a hundred photo ops with locals and other tourists, I decided I had to get a photo myself. This guy wanted both! You and Owen were so patient ... get used to the rock star lifestyle overseas..
The wind picked up and the sand was cool enough to walk on!
Aaron, Megan and Owen arrived!

Vietnam Part 2
After order room service and sleeping 12 hours we awoke to a beautiful Hoi An. We lounged by the pool and then walked down to the South China Sea. It is HOT and the sand to scorching. The rest of the day was taken up by napping in the room, reading by the pool, eating at the line of stand restruants across from the hotel and general laziness.
That's where we'll be tomorrow!
Little sprinkling to cool of E
Crazy hair E and Dad (haircut tomorrow!)
Enjoying a sp0on and under the palm tree shade!

Vietnam Part 1
We left the monsoon weather behind in Dhaka and traveled to Hong Kong and then to Ho Chi Min in Vietnam. The first plane ride was as 1am and you were just not having any fun ... wide awake and screaming you made everyone in Business Class aware of your presence. Mom was a trooper though and made you as comfortable as possible. After very little sleep we hit Hong Kong airport and departed with what seemed half of the school staff and student body to various parts of the world. The flu virus scare had most wearing face masks and it looked like we were not going to make the connection because of long lines. Luckily they are organized in Hong Kong and we were shuttled out of line and to the next flight. On this flight you did 100% better. You played on the floor (window seats this time) and slept. In Ho Chi Min city we had a 5 hour layover which would have been extremely fun to pass in the airport but luckily your mom called the hotel we are staying at on the way out to Vietnam and they offered us luggage storage and the use of their pool and facilities for the layover. Talk about decompressing! We lounged by the pool, eat a good meal and had some ice cream. Then we flew to D'anang (good flight) and then a really nice 30 minute taxi to the River Beach Resort in Hoi An.

Who E Spends her Day With
Elizabeth,
While Dad and I are working, you spend your day with some special people.
Das is our driver. He helps buckle you in your seat but also gets you out of it! He's a good driver and deals with the traffic so Dad and I don't have to!
Alum is our cook. He loves to see you in the morning and makes sure that you always have bananas.
Milon is your ayah. She loves you so much and takes such good care of you. You love her and always make sure to give her a hug every morning!
