Vietnam Part 1

We left the monsoon weather behind in Dhaka and traveled to Hong Kong and then to Ho Chi Min in Vietnam. The first plane ride was as 1am and you were just not having any fun ... wide awake and screaming you made everyone in Business Class aware of your presence. Mom was a trooper though and made you as comfortable as possible. After very little sleep we hit Hong Kong airport and departed with what seemed half of the school staff and student body to various parts of the world. The flu virus scare had most wearing face masks and it looked like we were not going to make the connection because of long lines. Luckily they are organized in Hong Kong and we were shuttled out of line and to the next flight. On this flight you did 100% better. You played on the floor (window seats this time) and slept. In Ho Chi Min city we had a 5 hour layover which would have been extremely fun to pass in the airport but luckily your mom called the hotel we are staying at on the way out to Vietnam and they offered us luggage storage and the use of their pool and facilities for the layover. Talk about decompressing! We lounged by the pool, eat a good meal and had some ice cream. Then we flew to D'anang (good flight) and then a really nice 30 minute taxi to the River Beach Resort in Hoi An.
